Had a great day photographing the Jordan’s wedding at Leeds Town Hall earlier this month. Shot around a thousand photos and had great fun with the family portraits against the yellow background.

Dominic and Caroline were married in Italy recently. As the number of guests attending the wedding was limited they decided to throw a big wedding reception for family and friends in The Merchant Adventurer’s Hall in York. It was only fitting that they booked Adventure Wedding Photography to shoot the pictures!

Here shown is the third picture of the day. I really like it and will post some more images later this week. (Almost looks like it was taken in Italy doesn’t it!)

Julian and Marie

Several months ago Adventure Wedding Photography were booked to take pictures at Julian and Marie’s wedding. I was just going through the archives when I found the images. York Barbican Wedding Fair

Today we had an exhibition stand at the Barbican in York organised by the York Evening Press. It was nice to leave the studio and office environment and meet couples face to face and discuss their wedding photography requirements.

The feedback from couples was that our photography was both exceptionally creative and very high quality and we could also tell people about our other services such as ‘a fashion shoot right at your reception‘ where we bring our studio to your wedding. Also about the ‘personalised thankyou cards‘ we give to every bride and groom a week after the wedding so they can send them to guests and friends and that we often ‘project a hundred or so images on a giant screen at the evening reception‘ so that both daytime guests and those who were not at the ceremony can see how much fun everyone had throughout the day.

Here at Adventure Wedding Photography we do more than just take pictures - we provide couples with a total visual experience not offered by other photographers. So if you are as demanding as many modern brides should be, let Adventure take you into the next generation of wedding photography.

Fashion Photographer of the month

I have just received some unexpected but very nice post through the letterbox this morning.

The SWPP have awarded me with ‘fashion photographer of the month’ for January 2006. I have put the picture online for you to see.

Adventure will be entering many more competitions this year to see if we can get a little more ‘glassware on the mantle’.

It is nice to be recognised by our fellow peers and just confirms that Adventure Photography is still the place to come for great pictures!

Fun for the Fuller Family

We had the ‘Fuller’ family in the studio for a fun portrait session not too long ago. We took over 120 pictures, but this is one I particularly like. Mr and Mrs Fuller ordered a giant canvas wrap so I think they liked it as well.

Don’t throw money away on your wedding day

After 24 years in the business as fashion advertising and portrait photographers it is only recently that Adventure Photography started to shoot weddings. After winning 35 awards in 2004/2005 for our work we were approached by a customer who asked us to photograph their wedding. Because here at Adventure Wedding Photography we believe that ‘Life is an Adventure’ we thought it would be good to capture more than just lines of guests standing in a traditional pose. Here is one of the images we created from Claire and Lewis’ wedding day. It is a custom at this church for the gates to be locked. When the bride and groom arrive the groom must throw money over the gates so the local children can pick it up. The children then unlock the gates and allow the bride and groom to pass through - what a fantastic tradition! Claire had some fantastic ideas of her own and inspired me with her enthusiasm and creativity. It was Claire’s idea to put the wedding date on the 20p coin you can see flying through the air. Claire and Lewis wedding was planned meticulously and was such a fantastic day! By the way, the pictures of Claire and Lewis against the yellow background were taken at the reception in the afternoon of the wedding day. Both Claire and Lewis liked the pictures very much. We are now good friends and I hope they will call in to see us whenever they are in the area.
